The walk
A morning measured by the light, not the hours.
Mutharaja Vela sits where the city stops and the wetlands begin. We push off in small boats — never more than six guests — and let the channels do the navigating. Kingfishers, herons, water monitors, and the occasional croc. The mangroves change the light as you move through them. Mornings for the birds, late afternoons for the gold.
